This is usually signed by all parties on admission into our school.
Bridge - Home/School Agreement
The Service will:
- Endeavour to provide a supportive, safe and healthy environment for your child to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally
- Provide a curriculum which meets the needs of your child
- Provide a copy of our Behaviour Policy and explain our use of detention and exclusion
- Positive handling may be used where necessary to safeguard students and staff
- Monitor all work and provide homework where appropriate
- Keep parent/carers regularly informed about their child’s progress
- Contact parents/carers regarding any concerns with attendance, behaviour, health or work
- Enter students for appropriate accredited awards
- Liaise with other services where necessary (including educational psychology, learning support service, autism outreach team) to support the progress of your child, and this may involve some direct work with students on a one-to-one basis within the centre
Parents/Carers will:
- Ensure my child attends regularly and is properly dressed for all activities
- Contact the service regarding any concerns about my child that may affect his/her attendance, behaviour or work
- Support my child in completing homework when provided
- Attend any meetings with staff to discuss my child’s progress and welfare
- Encourage my child to understand and comply with the service’s Behaviour Policy
- Support the service in any action taken if my child should breach the Behaviour Policy
The Student will:
- Attend regularly and be on time for all lessons and activities
- Treat other pupils and staff with respect
- Respect other people’s property including school work
- Listen carefully to instructions
- Comply with the Behaviour and Anti-bullying Policies and observe all rules/codes of conduct
